“Jaipur” city in Rajasthan, India, is going to host the 8th Asian Youth Women Handball Championship. The Championship event involves a total of 10 teams, including the defending champions South Korea as the participant.
The 8th edition of Asian Youth Women Handball Championship 2019, will be organized from August 21, 2019, to August 30, 2019. It will be the first time that the tournament will be hosted by the world famous Pink city i.e. Jaipur. Earlier Delhi had hosted the same tournament in the year 2015 where the hosts India had finished with 7th place. So far the tournament has been single-handedly dominated by the South Korean team who has emerged as the champion in the all the previously conducted 7 editions of the tournament held so far.
The previous edition of the tournament in the year 2017 was organized at Jakarta in Indonesia where again South Korea was the champion while Japan and China were placed 2nd and 3rd rank respectively.
The headquarter of the Asian Youth Women Handball Championship is in Kuwait City, Kuwait. Its present President is ‘Sheikh Ahmed Al-Fahad Al-Ahmed Al-Sabah’. The championship will be organized by the ‘Asian Handball Federation’ (AHF).
