Something went wrong with the present Bluetooth connection, therefore forgetting about the Bluetooth device could be the solution. In this scenario, attempt to ignore your iPhone's Bluetooth device. This will disconnect your iPhone from your car's Bluetooth connection. Re-pairing the automobile Bluetooth with your iPhone will re-establish the connection.

To unpair or forget your Bluetooth device, follow these steps:

  1. From the Home screen, choose Settings.
  2. Toggle on Bluetooth.
  3. Next to the Bluetooth device, you wish to forget, tap the blue I or information symbol (which is your car's Bluetooth).
  4. Select Forget This Device from the drop-down menu.
  5. To confirm the action, tap Forget Device.
The device has been forgotten if the automobile Bluetooth is no longer shown under Devices in the Bluetooth menu. Re-enable Bluetooth on your iPhone, and then couple it with your car's Bluetooth.
