Before you restore your phone, make sure it's fully charged.
- Make sure you're using the most recent version of iTunes.
- Back up your device via iTunes. Any additional content should be transferred and synced to your PC.
- Turn off Find My iPhone in Settings > iCloud if you're using iOS 6 or later.

- Use the cable that came with your device to connect it to your computer.
- When your iPhone shows in iTunes, select it.
- Click Restore in the Summary panel.
- To confirm that you want to restore your device to factory settings and wipe all data and content, click Restore again. iTunes will download the device software file and restore your device.
- After your device is restored to factory settings, it will restart. When it does, you’ll see the “Slide to set up” welcome screen.
