• You may put your iPhone or iPad into recovery mode and then restore it from your computer.
• In some cases, you may need to restore your device using recovery mode:
• Your computer refuses to recognise your device or displays a message indicating that it is in recovery mode.
• If your screen has been stuck on the Apple logo for several minutes and there is no progress indicator on the screen.
• The recovery mode screen appears.
• Check to see if your Mac is up to date. If you're using iTunes, check sure you're using the most recent version.
• Open Finder on a Mac running macOS Catalina. Open iTunes on a Mac running macOS Mojave or earlier, or on a PC. Close iTunes if it's already open, then open it again. Determine which version of macOS your Mac is running.
