Apple's iOS devices have the ability to restore from an iCloud backup or via iTunes. To restore your iPhone from an iCloud backup, you must first wipe all of its contents. Here's how you do it:

  • Activate your iPhone X.
  • Please wait for the Hello screen to appear. If your device has already been set up, you must delete it before restoring it from an iCloud backup.
  • Follow the setup instructions on the screen until you reach the Apps & Data page.
  • Tap Restore from iCloud Backup on the Apps & Data screen.
  • Using your Apple ID credentials, log in to iCloud.
  • To use as a backup, choose one. You may use the date and size of each backup file to determine which is the most important. The transfer begins when you pick the backup file.
  • If an upgrade to a newer version of iOS is required, follow the onscreen steps to update. If not, move on to the next step.
  • Sign in to your Apple ID account is required to restore applications and purchases. If you prefer, you can skip this step and sign in later.
  • Wait for the progress bar to display and finish. Depending on the size of the backup and the speed of the network connection, it may take some time to complete. If you disconnect from Wi-Fi too soon, the progress will be paused and resumed once you rejoin.
  • You may now restore the backup. now your iPhone is restored
