Should I install MacKeeper?
  • You've probably seen advertisements claiming that installing MacKeeperwill boost the performance of your machine.
  • It's possible that MacKeeper will increase the performance of your Mac, but it's unlikely. If your Mac is running slower than usual, it's usually due to one of three things:
  • Something in the background (i.e., a software that runs on your computer even when you're not using it) isn't working properly and is consuming all of your computer's processing power.
  • You have too many applications open and are running out of RAM, or you have too many files (photos, videos, music, and so on) on your computer and are running out of hard drive space.
  • Your hard drive is about to fail.
