- Partition splitting is the process of dividing a large partition into two smaller ones. Under certain circumstances, it is required.
- To launch 'Run,' press 'Windows+R,' type 'diskmgmt.msc' in the empty box, and then touch 'OK.'
- Select 'Shrink Volume' from the context menu of the huge partition you want to shrink.
- It will then determine how much space can be compressed. To proceed, enter the shrunk size (MB) in the following window and click 'Shrink.'.
- After you've shrunk the partition, you'll see an unallocated area. Right-click it and choose 'New Simple Volume,' then use the wizard to create a new partition on the free space.
