- In the top-left corner, click the Apple logo. Then go to Users & Groups and System Preferences.
- Click Login Items from here. Is there anything you don't need when you first start up? After selecting it, click the minus icon. To make changes, you'll need to click the lock and type in your password.
- You can also locate starter things in other, more secluded spots. To get to these, go to the Go menu in your macOS menu bar and then press and hold the OPTION key on your keyboard. This will result in the appearance of a new item called Library. Simply press the button.
- Scroll down to the LaunchDaemons and LaunchAgents sections. Both of these are components of pre-installed applications that run on their own. Remove it if you're certain you don't need it!
