How To Read An Ebook On Mac Os X?
  • Click Books (or another collection) on the sidebar of the Books programme on your Mac, then double-click a book to open it.
  • Note: If the book has an iCloud status icon next to it, double-click it to download it from iCloud (you might need to sign in first).
  • Turn the pages of the book:
  • See the table of contents for more information: Move the pointer to the top of the book and, depending on the book, click the Table of Contents or Thumbnails buttons.
  • Return to the previous or next page: Click the arrow that appears as you move the pointer to the right or left edge of the book.
  • You can also use a trackpad or Magic Mouse to swipe right or left, use the Touch Bar, or the arrow keys on the keyboard. See Use mouse and trackpad motions.
  • Look for the following words in the book: Then type a word, phrase, or page number into the search box. You can also pick text and then select Search Selection from the drop-down menu.
  • Check out the pages you've already seen: In the lower-left corner of the page, click the 'Back to page' link (or use the Touch Bar). This is beneficial if you're looking through search results or the table of contents of a book.
  • You may always return to the page you were on by clicking the 'Go to page' link in the lower-right corner.
