Apple will not support Linux since they have their own operating system to maintain. They promote Windows since many people use it on their computers, for gaming, and in the workplace.To run at all, a game will need to use at least some of those APIs. Installing Linux on your Mac is the only solution I'm aware of. This is a viable option. If you have the game's source code, you should be able to assemble it on OSX with the help of Xcode.
