Disk Program is a helpful utility that comes with every Mac computer and can be used to format any storage disc. To utilize it, follow these steps:

  1. Connect the flash drive you wish to format to the computer.
  2. Disk Utility may be found in the Applications & Utilities folder. The main window will appear on the screen, with a list of accessible storage devices on the left and different disc management choices on the right, and the application will display on the screen. Storage device data, including disc description, connection type, USB serial number, total capacity, write status, S.M.A.R.T. status, and partition map scheme, are displayed at the bottom of the main window.
  3. Click the Erase tab after selecting your storage device from the list on the left. You must first click on the Erase button located in the Erase tab, you must select which file system you would like to use and give it a name.
  4. After you've set everything up, click the Erase button to begin the formatting procedure. It might take a minute or two, depending on the size and speed of your flash drive. You should be able to transfer files to the freshly formatted flash device after the formatting procedure is complete.
