The Indian journalist Krishna Kumar Mitra was an great Indian freedom fighter, and also a leader of Brahmo Samaj launched his Bengali journal named 'Sanjibani' in the year 1883. Sanjibani was the first newspaper to announce the partition of Bengal on July 6 1905.

The partition of Bengal was the most important event during the rule of Lord Curzon.
