Tamil Nadu Irrigated Agriculture Modernization Project!
The Government of India (GoI), the Government of Tamil Nadu and the World Bank (WB) has marked a $318 million credit agreement for the Tamil Nadu Irrigated Agriculture Modernization Project to advance climate resilient horticulture technologies, enhance water management practices, and increment advertising opportunities for small and peripheral ranchers. Around 500,000 farmers, of which greater parts are little and peripheral, are required to profit by enhanced and modernized tank irrigation system. The undertaking will restore and modernize around 4,800 water irrigation system and 477 check dams, spread crosswise over 66 sub-basins, in conveying mass water to an irrigation system. The International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD) has issued a loan amount of $318 for a tenure of 5-years including 19 years of maturity.
