A network topology in which each network component is physically connected to a central node such as a router, hub, or switch is known as a **[star](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/83740/buying-guide-of-samsung-198-l-5-star-digital-inverter-single-door-refrigerator) topology.** In a star topology, the central hub serves as a server, while the connecting nodes serve as clients. When the central node receives a packet from a connecting node, it can forward the packet to other network nodes. A star topology is also referred to as a star network.\
A point-to-point connection between the central node and connecting devices is required for star networks. The central node can provide signal reconditioning and amplification services to improve communication between network devices. \
