While it won't be able to compete with many discrete GPUs, it should be sufficient for light gaming. Ryzen 5 is a mid-premium processor with one exception. Before you get there, you should know that the R5 3500U is one of the most popular laptop processors. Some of the best Ryzen 5 laptops use the same chipset and cost less than $40,000.
