The **European Space Agency's Science** Programme is a long-term programme of space science and exploration missions. The agency's Directorate of Science oversees the project. Through generational campaigns, the programme sponsors the development, launch, and operation of missions led by European space organisations and institutions.

The European Space Agency's (ESA) Directorate of Science is in charge of the Science Programme, which aims to expand Europe's scientific presence in space, stimulate technological innovation, and sustain European space infrastructure such as launch services and spacecraft operations.It is one of ESA's mandatory programmes, in which every ESA member state is required to take part.
