## The disadvantages of digital currency:

- Digital currencies are vulnerable to hacking. Hackers can take digital currencies from online wallets or modify the protocol, rendering them useless. As previous cryptocurrencies breaches have demonstrated, safeguarding digital networks and money is a work in progress.
- The price of digital currencies used for trade might fluctuate dramatically. The decentralised structure of cryptocurrencies, for example, has resulted in a plethora of thinly financed digital currencies whose valuations are susceptible to price swings based on investor whims. During their early days, other digital currencies followed a similar price pattern.
