- Mark Zuckerberg intends to turn his social networking company into a 'metaverse' company. It's a concept in which the physical, as well as the virtual and augmented worlds, collide. **Facebook** isn't the only company interested in making a substantial investment in the field. Learn more about the metaverse, what Zuckerberg sees in it, and what Epic Games, Minecraft, and Roblox have already done.
- With the debut of Facebook Horizon in 2019, Facebook has gone one step further and developed a virtual reality environment. However, for the time being, it's an invite-only immersive environment that people can access by donning an Oculus headset. Additionally, in August of this year, the business launched Horizon Workrooms, a feature that allows coworkers using virtual reality headsets to attend meetings in a virtual space where they all appear as cartoonish 3D versions of themselves.
