- You'll need a lot of storage space. Since the initial [**iPad**](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/97386/do-the-ipad-models-have-a-sim-card), which had only 16 GB of storage, times have changed. The iPad Pro now has a storage capacity of **128 GB and can be upgraded to 2 TB.** The iPad Air (5th generation), iPad (9th generation), and iPad mini (6th generation) all come with 64 GB of storage as standard, with 256 GB available as an option.
- Because the iPad, iPad Air, and iPad mini only come in 64GB and 256GB storage configurations, most iPad customers in 2022 will have to choose between those two options. If you're on a tight budget, go with 64GB.
