They come in a variety of screen sizes and resolutions, ranging from 7.9 inches to 12.9 inches, therefore determining the actual screen resolution of your iPad is dependent on the model. - All iPads have 4:3 aspect ratio multi-touch IPS screens. While the 16:9 aspect ratio is preferred for watching high-definition video, the 4:3 aspect ratio is preferred for web browsing and app use. - The first iPad Mini had a resolution of 1024x768 pixels. Because the iPad 2 and iPad Mini were the two most popular iPad devices, this resolution is still one of the most popular. - The 2048x1536 Retina Display resolution is shared by both the 9.7-inch and 7.9-inch iPad models.
