**Steps to clear the cache on an [iPad](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/97370/how-to-get-rid-of-splitscreen-on-an-ipad):**

- Open the app Settings.
- Then choose 'General,' then 'iPad Storage.' The iPad Storage page will show you how much space different types of apps take up on your iPad. (Because the iPad must calculate the free and used space, this may take a minute or two to show.)
- Your iPad may make space-saving recommendations, such as uninstalling apps you don't use often or videos or email attachments. You can attempt one or more of these solutions if you want to save space.
- Examine the apps installed on your iPad, which are listed in order of size from largest to smallest.
- Select the app you wish to delete. It's worth noting that the app's information page displays how much space it takes up as well as how much space its data takes up.
