It is considered one of the most important innovations of all time because it allows individuals to record photographs and share them with others all over the world without having to be present at the moment.
- He used a light-sensitive silver nitrate-coated pewter plate.
- Because the only means to develop the photo was by exposure to sunlight, the exposure period required to acquire an image was eight hours.
