Televisions and computer desktops employ CRT (Cathode Ray Tube), LCD (Liquid Crystal Display), LED (Liquid Emitting Diode), OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode), and Plasma Monitors. - To work, this monitor required more power and circuitry. The analogue circuitry was inefficient and took up a lot of room. Furthermore, the **CRT** itself necessitates a particular distance between the screen area and the electron cannons at the neck's end. - The CRT was replaced by **LCD monitors.** They had performance concerns with response times at first, but those issues were soon resolved.
