- **A Chromebook (**often stylised in lowercase as chromebook) is a laptop or tablet that runs on the Linux-based Chrome OS. Chromebooks were originally built to rely mainly on web applications for tasks utilising the Google Chrome browser, but from 2017 and 2018, they have been able to run [**Android**](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/95204/why-is-my-outlook-email-not-working-on-my-android) and full-fledged Linux software. All of the approved apps can be installed and used simultaneously.
- Chromebooks may run without an Internet connection, and programmes like Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Keep, and Google Drive synchronise data when you reconnect. The Google Play Movies & TV addon for Chrome makes Google Play video content available offline.
