- **Activate your new phone.** Select Start. If you don't see 'Start,' you can manually copy your data. Choose to copy applications and data from your old phone when prompted. On your previous phone: Use your Google account to log in. Sync your information. Make sure you're connected to the internet.
- to backup your outdated Android phone's data From the app drawer or the home screen, go to Settings. Go to the bottom of the page and scroll down. Select System from the menu bar. Select Backup. Make sure the Back up to Google Drive toggle is turned on. Return to the previous screen to sync your phone's data with Google Drive.
