- Yes, basic **[email](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/50939/how-to-delete-an-email-account-from-your-iphone-6s)** is merely text, it consumes very little data. It also doesn't require much bandwidth or time delay (or latency). A standard 80-word plain text message would be around 10 KB in size. Given that hundreds of email messages can be received per month, below are some rough estimations of actual data usage for basic email in a month.
- 100 emails every day multiplied by 30 days equals 3,000 emails per month.
- 30,000,000 bytes or 240 Megabytes (MB) of data = 3,000 email messages x 10,000 bytes each (10 KB each).
