- Change the location of the BIOS clear or password jumper or DIP switch on the [**computer**](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/96913/name-of-the-latest-computer-processors-cpu) motherboard. CLEAR, CLEAR **CMOS,** JCMOS1, CLR, CLRPWD, PASSWD, PASSWORD, PSWD, or PWD are all common names for this jumper. Remove the jumper from the two pins that are currently covered and place it over the remaining two jumpers to clear.
- On the System Disabled screen, there is a 5 to 8 character code. You can try to extract a 5 to 8-character code from the machine, which you can use to reset the BIOS password.
- Dip switches, jumpers, jumping BIOS, or rewriting BIOS can all be used to clear the system.
