- While a programme is running, the [**CPU**](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/97164/explain-the-functions-of-the-cu-and-alu-in-the-cpu-of-a-computer) generates a **logical address**. Because the logical address does not exist in the actual world, it is also known as a virtual address. This address is utilised by the CPU to reference the physical memory location. The set of all logical addresses generated by a program's perspective is referred to as the Logical Address Space.

- The logical address is a specification that is used by the CPU.
- It is used to indicate the size of the CPU address register.
