- The **television rating point is abbreviated as TRP.** It's a metric that shows how popular a television show is. It is used to determine which television programme is the most popular. This displays the popularity of a given programme and provides an index of people's preferences.
- A higher TRP suggests that a big number of people are watching the programme. Advertisers benefit greatly from its data because they may target their ads to programmes with greater TRPs.
- INTAM (Indian Television Audience Measurement) is the only organisation that calculates TRPs at the moment.
