- A computer's **basic logical structure** is as follows:

- The processes are executed by the CPU (central processing unit), the computer's brain.
- Random access memory (RAM) is used to store temporary data.
- A hard disc is used to store long-term data.
- Input/output devices are devices that provide input to a computer and provide output.
- The Communication Channel serves as a link between external and internal devices.
