Cryptography, mobile computing, social media, as well as infrastructure and networks carrying private, financial, and corporate information are all covered under InfoSec. Cybersecurity, on the other hand, safeguards both raw and meaningful data, but only against threats that originate on the internet.
- Information security is implemented by businesses for a variety of reasons. The primary goals of InfoSec are usually to ensure the security, integrity, and availability of firm data. Because InfoSec is so broad, it frequently necessitates the installation of multiple forms of security, such as application security, infrastructure security, encryption, incident response, vulnerability management, and disaster recovery.
