## The benefits of having satellites:

- It is used for location-independent mobile and wireless communication applications.
- It covers a large area of the earth, therefore a single satellite can cover an entire country or region.
- Based on SCPC or MCPC allocation types, it gives more bandwidth.
- It coexists with microwave line-of-sight communication on the ground.
- It is simple to set up and administer the ground station locations, and the costs per VSAT site are low.
- It is used to transmit audio, data, video, and any other type of data. To acquire internet service, the satellite system can be connected to the internet infrastructure. It's also utilised for determining location in GPS applications on various mobile devices.
- It is simple to receive service from a single source who provides uniform service.
