- To get the Windows 10 operating system up and running, let's start with the **system requirements**. You won't have to look any further than Microsoft's own advice.
- 1 GHz or faster processor
- 1 GB (32-bit) or 2 GB RAM (64-bit)
- DirectX 9 or later graphics card with WDDM 1.0 driver (the latter is the graphics architecture for video drivers)
- 16 GB (32-bit) or 20 GB (64-bit) hard drive space (64-bit)
- Resolution: 800x600 pixels
- A network connection is also required for updates and built-in functionality (such as user account integration and so on).
