**Steps to record a slide show in [PowerPoint](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/96600/how-to-customize-your-slide-powerpoint):**

- To give your presentation a professional and polished impression, record narration and timings.
- Open the slide on which you wish to begin recording.
- **Select Record** in the upper right corner of the PowerPoint window.
- You have two choices. Select the round, **red Record button** when you're ready, wait for the countdown, and then begin speaking. Go to the slide you want to record from, then **select Record.**
- Because narration isn't recorded while transitioning between slides, pause for a moment and then resume speaking.
- When you're through filming, save your presentation as a PowerPoint file or a video and share it with others.
- Choose a file.
- Select an option such as **Save or Export.**
