- **Pinterest** performs well on both a desktop and a mobile device, however some of the functions of Instagram are unavailable on a desktop.
- Hashtags are useful for promoting your content on Instagram, but they have no relevance on Pinterest.
- Pinterest excels in sharing and saving links, however Instagram does not allow you to add links to your posts or stories.
- **Instagram** offers many more features than Pinterest, such as IGTV, Instagram direct, Instagram stories, reels, filters, and more. You can't even alter the photos on Pinterest.
- In comparison to Pinterest, Instagram has a far larger user base.
- On Instagram, you can edit your photos and apply various filters, but you can't do the same on Pinterest.
