- Select **View profile** from Chats by right clicking or tapping and holding on your contact.
- Alternatively, you can see your contact's profile by clicking or tapping on the conversation header from within the chat.
- To enable the Translated Conversation, click or tap on Send translation request.
- Your contact will receive a message that you want to activate Translated Conversations. To proceed, they will need to pick Accept.
- Your contact will not receive the invitation if they are not using the most recent version of [**Skype**](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/94349/how-does-skype-video-call-work).
- Your instant messages and phone conversations will be translated into the language of your choice after your invitation is accepted.
- Note: Skype's Spoken language will be set to your Device language by default, however you can change it at any moment in Settings.
- Skype will display the messages as they are translated during your Translated Conversation, but you can also choose to show the original message.
- In your discussions with that person, your Translated Conversation will remain available. You'll need to allow Translated Conversations in that person's profile as well if you want to start a new Translated Conversation with them.
