- Check that your device has a **stable internet connection** with sufficient bandwidth.
- Make sure you're using the most recent version of Skype.
- Check to see whether your security software or firewall settings are obstructing Skype.
- Make sure your phone isn't turned off.
- If you're using an Android smartphone, ensure sure the Skype app hasn't been prohibited from accessing the internet.
- To make sure you have enough bandwidth, switch from cellular data to Wi-Fi.
- You must be connected, logged in, and have notifications enabled in the app, on your device, and by the network you are connected to in order to receive alerts.
