- So, if you've been banned from WhatsApp because you done anything wrong in its eyes, you'll get a notification from the programme saying, **'[WhatsApp](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/94541/why-can-t-i-add-a-person-on-whatsapp-s-contact-list-to-a-group) will not allow you to use your phone number. For assistance, contact support.'**
- WhatsApp only delivers this notice to its users if the user **violates the basic code of behaviour**, according to the standards. When a person sends vulgar, defamatory, or threatening messages to another user, WhatsApp blocks their account.
- WhatsApp, on the other hand, is solely responsible for determining what constitutes an obscene, defamatory, or threatening message. Users are also prohibited if they use the app to encourage violence or create a phoney account for someone else.
- Another way to be banned from WhatsApp is to send too many messages to people who aren't on your contact list.
