**Steps to remove your [Reddit](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/96069/why-can-t-i-post-anything-on-reddit) account:**

- Locate User Settings under Profile in the top right corner of your screen.
- Click on **User Settings** and scroll down to the Deactivate Account option, which is highlighted in red.
- **Select Deactivate Account** from the drop-down menu. The reason for deactivating your account will be asked in a popup by Reddit; answering this question is optional. Enter your e-mail address and password. you realise that deactivated accounts are not recoverable,' check the box. The Deactivate button will become available for use; click it to continue.
- Another popup will appear, asking you to confirm that you want to cancel the account. To finish the deletion, **click Deactivate.**
- If you signed up with your Google account or Apple ID, go to the Connected Accounts section and click the disconnect button next to the Google account or Apple ID you used.
