> **Anurag Thakur, Union Minister of Youth Affairs and Sports inaugurated Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 on August 13, 2021, to commemorate the Azadi ka Amrut Mahotsav.**

This campaign has been begun at 75 '**iconic**' locations, according to the union sports minister. On October 2, 2021, the **Fit India Freedom Run 2.0** will come to an end. People from every district and village will take part in the freedom-run movement during this time. About 5 crore individuals participated in the freedom run 1.0. This year's total has risen to 7.5 crore persons. **New Delhi's Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium hosted the Fit India Freedom Run 2.0.** \

To keep Indians fit, the government plans to reach out to every home with the motto '**Fitness ki dosage 'aadha ghanta roz**.' Fit India Freedom Runs will be held in **744 districts** across **India**, with **75 villages** in each district and **30,000 educational institutions** participating. From August 15 to October 2, 2020, the first edition of the '**Fit India Freedom Run**' was held.
