- **Open the Settings menu.** Go to Apps and select it. Select Default Apps from the drop-down menu. Select Set default by app from the drop-down menu. Choose Microsoft Edge from the drop-down menu. Select Manage from the menu. Select Microsoft Edge as the default app for.pdf files by clicking the current default app.
- Follow these instructions to open a PDF file in Edge:
- Open the File Explorer programme.
- Go to the folder that contains the document you wish to open.
- Select the Microsoft Edge option from the Open with menu when right-clicking the PDF file.
