> **At Mahanadi Coalfields Limited (MCL), an internet-based platform dubbed 'VIHANGAM' that is coupled with a Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) was inaugurated.**

The system is made up of a **Ground Control Station (GCS), an RPAS, a 40 Mbps internet lease line,** and a **VIHANGAM portal**. L&T Limited has been awarded the **First Mile Connectivity project** - Lajkura RLS with **[Operation](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/95931/haechi-ii-which-was-seen-in-the-news-recently-is-an-operation-undertaken-by-which-institution)** and Maintenance for 5 years at a total cost of 285.05 crores. On September 1, 2021, the foundation stone for Lajkura RLS - 15 Mty was placed. The RLS is expected to be operational in March 2023. L&T will operate and maintain the **Lajkura RLS** for a term of 05 years by employing the appropriate staff.
