'**NTPC** has granted a program of independent **Fuel-Cell based Micro-grid** with hydrogen generation utilizing electrolyzer in NTPC Guest House at Simhadri,' according to the electricity ministry. According to the **[Ministry](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/95939/which-union-ministry-is-associated-with-the-dam-safety-bill-2019-passed-recently)**, it will serve as a prelude to large-scale hydrogen power storage programs and will be valuable for evaluating and installing several microgrids in different off-grid and important places around the country. The hydrogen would be created utilizing the **[innovative](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/39335/the-academy-of-scientific-and-innovative-research-acsir-is-located-in-which-city) 240 kW Solid Oxide Electrolyzer,** which would be powered by the neighboring **Floating Solar plant.** \

'The hydrogen generated during the day would be held under high pressure and powered by a 50 kW Solid Oxide Fuel Cell. From 5 p.m. until 7 a.m., the system would operate on its own 'it was added **NTPC** created this one-of-a-kind project arrangement in-house.
