The **2022 African Nations Championship**, also known as the **Total African Nations Championship (or CHAN 2022),** will be the seventh edition of the **[African](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/95803/which-is-the-host-country-of-the-african-union-summit-2022) Nations Championship**, a biennial football [tournament](https://yourviews.mindstick.com/view/30459/world-cup-2019-who-will-be-the-player-of-the-tournament) organized by the **Confederation of African Football (CAF)** that will feature only players from the respective national championships. \

**Algeria** will host the tournament. It was initially intended to run from July 10 through August 1, 2022. However, on September 10, 2020, the CAF stated that the tournament has been rescheduled for January 2023, following the postponing of the **2020 African Nations Championship to 2021 and the 2021 [Africa](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/52039/where-did-google-open-its-first-africa-artificial-intelligence-lab) Cup of Nations to 2022 due to the COVID-19 epidemic.** \
