It is a component of China's space goals, which also involve the launch of a crewed orbiting station and the landing of a person on the moon. In 2019, China has become the first nation to **settle a space probe on the [moon's](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/95626/the-doge-1-mission-to-the-moon-will-be-launched-by-which-company-in-2022) little-explored far side,** and in December, lunar rocks were returned to Earth for the first period since the 1970s.
