Abhay K, an **Indian composer, and diplomat** revealed that the majestic storyline of Madagascar's '**[Ibonia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibonia)**' is based on the Indian iconic '**Ramayana**.' Ibonia is a poem written about **Madagascar** that tells the story of its **hero Ibonia's birth, betrothal, struggle, and death**. Ravato kidnapped his wed wife Rampela in a similar way to Ramayana. There are over 300 words that are similar in **Sanskrit and the Malagasy language.** \

The story begins with Ibonia's **birth and conception** when he requests to be married to a **Joy-Giving lady while in his womb of the mother, Beautiful-Rich**. Before they're even wedded, Joy-Giving lady is forcibly removed by Trouble-Stone man. Before embarking on his quest to **reclaim** her, he participates in a verbal battle with **Great Echo** and defeats him. Great Echo, in turn, advises Ibonia on how to **transfer a set of tests** that would face him on his search to reclaim his wife. Ibonia pays a visit to his **parents before embarking on the quest**, and his mother encourages him to **demonstrate himself by defeating a slew of formidable animal and human foes.** \
She then tries to stop him from his mission by offering him other spouses, which he declines. Ibonia uses his **wits and athletic strength** to tackle the obstacles he faces, such as dressing up as an Old Man to get nearer to Stone Man and Joy-Giving Girl to his **unrivaled skill** for having played the valiha and fanorona reveals himself. Ibonia triumphs over Stone Man and manages to escape with Joy-Giving Girl. They can marry for about 10 years before **Ibonia's good death ends their relationship.**
