The Government of Nagaland hosts the **[Hornbill Festival](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hornbill_Festival)** each year during the first half of December to **stimulate inter-tribal contact and to showcase Nagaland's cultural heritage**. Nagaland is a state in India's northeastern region.
