As part of its preparations for a probable increase in **Covid-19 cases,** the Union **government** started a project to teach **health care personnel the logical use of clinical oxygen to reduce wasting**. A key component of the **National Oxygen Stewardship Programme**, each region in the [**nation**](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/94231/when-was-the-national-security-act-passed) would have at least one oxygen steward selected and instructed. \
The **government** has authorized at least 1,500 **Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA)** oxygen-generating units, 1,463 of which have been completed, comprising 1,225 erected and commissioned under the **PM CARES Fund** in every region of the nation. **All states and union territories** have been requested to deploy PSA units in public [**healthcare**](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/94297/what-is-patient-care-equipment) centers and also to make it easier for similar plants to be installed in **private institutions.**
