**Flushing the DNS cache is a simple process** that you may perform on your computer. We merely delete the local cache, after which your machine will rebuild it automatically. \

1. **Hold down the Windows key** and the X key at the same time (or right-click on the start menu)
2. Choose either Windows PowerShell or Command Prompt as your command prompt.
3. **Press enter after typing ipconfig /flushdns.**
4. PowerShell should be closed.
5. **Restart** Outlook and see if you can send and receive emails.
6. **This should fix the 0x80040115** send and receive an [error](https://www.mindstick.com/forum/459/iis-7-error-503-service-unavailable) in [**Outlook**](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/95246/how-can-i-fix-outlook-s-send-receive-error-0x800ccc0f) for most users.
