**When opening or sending an email in [Outlook](https://answers.mindstick.com/qa/95198/why-isn-t-my-outlook-email-working-on-my-phone) 2007, 2010, 2013, or 2016, you're likely to get the 'Microsoft Outlook has stopped working problem,** just like with other Office products The outlook may stop working for a variety of reasons, including incompatible add-ins, DLL file issues, a missing or corrupted PST file, and more. Whatever the source, if you get an Outlook not responding problem, you can use the solutions listed below to fix it. **Fix the Error 'Microsoft Outlook that has stopped operating'** The following remedies can be used to fix the problem when Microsoft Outlook turns grey and displays the 'Not Responding' or 'Microsoft Outlook has ceased working' message.

1. In Safe Mode, **uninstall any faulty add-ins.**
2. Use the Event Viewer application.
3. Make a new profile in Outlook.
4. MS Office Suite should be repaired.
5. scanpst can fix a corrupt PST file.
